Spencer's Story
Spencer Shimada grew up in Idaho, but also spent many summers in Washington state and Japan. He served a Mormon mission in Hiroshima, Japan, attended BYU for his undergraduate studies, and is currently pursuing his MPH at SJSU. Today, he works as a Principal at The Presidio Group in San Francisco
Lucas' Story
Lucas Kester was born near the North Pole and spent many summers with extended family in Oregon while growing up. He studied at Bosie State and received his MBA from Portland State. His work keeps his frequent flyer mileage balance high as a Director for Western Union in San Francisco.
Our Relationship
We met in 2013, at a farewell dinner for a mutual friend. We started dating shortly thereafter in June of that year, which included a whirlwind of trips together all over the world: San Diego, London, Paris, Costa Rica - to name a few. Most importantly, however, were our trips to visit with family. As we started to learn more about each other and grow together, we both knew it was time. We were engaged in June 2014, and now we are getting married!
